1. The information we collect

The only circumstances in which we will provide any of your personal data to a third party for non commercial purposes are those contained in this Privacy Policy.

2. Registration information

When you register with, we ask for your First Name, Last Name, Nickname, Date of Birth, Scouting Membership Number, Your Roles in scouting, Email address and phone Number.

3. Sharing of data

We may share data provided by to within The Scout Association. Content you provide to may be shared following section 4 of this policy and our terms and conditions.

4. Storing of your Data

Confidential Data (includes data you provide on registration Section 2 of this policy) that we collect and/or you provide to us will be stored on our Service Providers Servers & Backups and our County Website Administrators Backups.

Any contributions and content you provide to us for our site may be stored and/or shared with our members of Greater Manchester North Scout County, Members of the Scout Association and Members of the Public. If you do not wish for your contributions and content to be shared please do not submit your contributions to our site.

5. Advertising

We will not share any of your personal information provided by you or collected by us to any third party for advertising purposes. Your data will be kept within GMN Scouts and The Scout Association unless we are required to provide your data to a third party empowered by regulation, Statute or Court order.

6. Legal jurisdiction

All personal information and details held on and processed by computers/servers situated in the United Kingdom.

Further information may as part of it’s normal operation send out to its members registered on our site emails for informational purposes.  Members can decide to opt out using the unsubscribe option provided at the bottom of the emails or by contacting us using the email address at the top of this policy.

8. Disclosure of data by order of a Court and Security

We reserve the right to communicate a Member’s personal information as we hold to third parties who are empowered by regulation, statute or order of a court.

We have security measures in place to protect our members database. Access to this database is restricted internally. However, it remains each Member’s responsibility:

- to keep their password secret

- to protect against unauthorized access to your personal details

- to log off from the website when not using it to prevent unauthorized access to your account.

If we believe your account has been compromised and/or is being used by someone else other than yourself we may disable/remove you access to our site without notice.
